In every CluedUp check

Know the weak spots before you see the car.

Every model has problems that come up again and again. We show the ones that matter for that make, model and year, then check whether this car already shows them.

What you get

  • The top problems for that model

Ranked by how often they come up at MOT for cars of the same make, model and age.

  • Whether this car already has them

We match each problem against this car’s own MOT history and tag the ones it already shows.

  • What to look for, and a rough cost

A simple check to do at the viewing, plus a rough repair price to budget for or negotiate with.

How to use it

  1. Start with the tagged ones

Anything marked “On this car’s MOT” has already been spotted by a tester.

  2. Ask for invoices

If the seller says it’s fixed, a receipt proves it.

  3. Use the cost to negotiate

If it hasn’t been fixed, the rough repair cost is a fair reason to offer less.

Where it comes from: Anonymised national MOT results published by the DVSA, updated once a year, plus this car’s own MOT history.
